Report

Given the distance traveled it was a good job we won. Will we have to stick to the winning formula of traveling the night before? (The beach might be hard to find elsewhere.)

Simon says:
The boys were inspired by the early morning walk along the picturesque beaches of East Norwich, and the beautiful and varied wildlife (both feathery and human).  An inspirational team talk by Coxy in the front garden of some bloke's house/cafe seemed to do the trick.  On the pitch Andy Bryan provided an outstanding opening spell from one end, whilst Gareth bowled for the batman's average. Once Gareth was taken off, the wickets started to tumble and we reduced Norwich to a meagre 147.

Pete Stevens then proceeded to plant the ball in the neighbouring flat cornfields hitting a magnificent unbeaten 88 to win the game. Not to mention a tremendously orchestrated 44 from yours truly. Nigel came in at the end and followed on from his rather long 7 yesterday, with a slightly quicker (only just) 8 today.

A good day for Harborne Cricket Club, a good job as it was miles away.
