Report

Here we are again at Coventry, our second home this season. AB even has his name over one of the pegs. This time for the National Knockout

Coventry were inserted and proceeded to make 132 all out. The most entertaining performance was given by yours truly, who was made to keep wicket and started strongly and got weaker and weaker as the overs passed. I have to say the old guts were not one hundred percent before we started and come the 42nd over had to rush off the pitch suffering from what is politely know as Delhi-belli. Can I just say thanks to the Sundarbarn Balti Restaurant in Selly Oak for five hours of excruciating stomach cramps. A first for me, and hopefully a last.

Coxy ended with a good four-for, with good contributions from AB and Aamir.

We then shuffled the order as yours truly was unable to bat and sit on the john at the same time. Aamir batted well for a what turned out to be match winning 44. Other contributions from Pat, Coxy and at the end Andy Owen. We managed to hit the winning runs with 9 wickets down off the last ball. A situation that didn't help my stomach problems. A good team performance, so propel us to the next round.
