Joined in 1950 while still at school and played Sunday and holidays until 1953. Occasional games while on National Service & Uni, and teaching in Herfordshire, but regular once-a-weekend from '63-'85. Hip operation prevented action for years, but a second operation meant a few games in 1999. If you have a car you can generally get selected for the 5th XI away from home! |
