Harborne Cricket Club is delighted to invite all members, supporters, families and friends to President’s Day 2026 for a full day of cricket, entertainment and celebration as the entire HCC community comes together for one of the new flagship events in our calendar.

This year’s President’s Day is a celebration of everything that makes Harborne CC special, while also recognising our President, Alan Wild, affectionately known throughout the club as “The Colonel”.

Following his accession to the Presidency earlier this year, President’s Day provides a fitting opportunity to celebrate Alan’s remarkable contribution to Harborne Cricket Club. Over more than five decades of loyal service, his dedication, leadership and passion have helped shape the club both on and off the field, leaving a lasting legacy for generations of HCC members.

A Day for the Whole Club

The festivities begin in the morning with our Junior Intra-Club Festival, bringing together boys’ and girls’ teams from across the junior section for a fun and competitive festival of cricket.

Direct communication will come from the Youth Committee and Junior Team Match Managers, with lunch on offer for all participating junior players once the morning’s cricket has concluded.

The Old Boys are Back

The day’s feature fixture will see an HCC Club XI take on an HCC Legends XI at 1:30pm, as a host of familiar faces return to Harborne to represent some of the club’s finest players and personalities from years gone by.

Blending HCC’s proud history with its exciting present, the match promises competitive cricket, plenty of nostalgia and no shortage of memorable moments as former stars once again take to the field.

More Than Just Cricket

President’s Day is about much more than the action on the square.

Throughout the day, the club will be alive with DJ-led music, live match commentary in the afternoon, great food and a fantastic atmosphere, creating the perfect setting to spend the Bank Holiday with family, friends and fellow members.

An afternoon barbecue will run alongside our fully stocked clubhouse bar, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Whether you’re playing, volunteering, supporting from the boundary or simply catching up with old friends, President’s Day is an opportunity for the whole Harborne CC family to come together and celebrate our club.
